Lathe Taper Attachment from Stock Material
In a small metalworking shop, where the amount of taper work doesn't warrant the outlay for a conventional taper attachment, you can make one from stock materials. It will fit nearly all small lathes.
The taper attachment was made to fit a 9 inch lathe. As a rule the parts dimensioned in Fig. 6 through 8 will be suitable for various makes of 9 inch lathes and possibly those of slightly larger or smaller swing.
