Bicycle Built For Two.
When the kids lose interest in bike riding and there are a couple of bikes sitting around, mostly just taking up space as nuisances, it's a good time to make a bicycle built for two.
It's great sport for adults. The cooperative propulsion takes the huff-and-puff out of cross country pedaling and get the adults out for fresh air and exercise.
Starting with two 26 inch bikes in good condition you can convert them to a tandem for a few dollars.
An extra sprocket and a little needed welding at a local shop ( or do it yourself if within your means ) is all that is required.
A boy's bike provides the front wheel and steering column, a girl's bike the rear wheel and seat.
Five pages ( 3 sheets of paper - front on first sheet, front and back on the other two sheets.)
B&W photos, illustrations, materials list, size specifications and instructional narrative.
My plans are from original source materials such as books, magazines and other publications and the pages are carefully removed.
