Water Bug, Surface Skimmer Model.

Inspired by those little aquatic insects called water striders, this unusual model flits along the suface of the water on three flipper-shaped planing feet mounted at the ends of long legs.
The boat is very stable and can be run with a guideline or can be turned loose in small ponds where recovery is easy.
Although the plans make no mention of Radio Control, it is possible in this era of technology, that someone with that inclination can adapt Water Bug to that end.

The design is for a Water Bug that finishes out at approximately 18 inches long. Construction details are for using balsa wood.
